Application Process
Applications for housing at the Cronkhite Center are available on-line, at the top of this page. The application requires a $75 application fee and a photo for the Cronkhite Face Map, submitted on-line or sent to housing@radcliffe.edu, to be considered complete.
Housing assignments are completed through a random lottery process. All applicants are assigned a number once their application has been marked complete. Numbers are selected at random until all Cronkhite rooms have been filled. A waitlist will be established for any applications not chosen in the lottery, followed by those applicants whose applications were received after the due date. Please note: being placed on the waiting list does not guarantee that you will be assigned a room. Returning Cronkhite residents have priority over new applicants and will be allowed to select their room prior to the lottery process.
Other Important Information
Billing
Cronkhite residents are charged for room and board fees once per semester on their Harvard term-bill.
Cronkhite Community Standards Regarding Noise
Cronkhite brings together students from six different Harvard graduate schools. All of our students are faced with difficult academic demands, involving deadlines at different times throughout the year. This makes it essential to keep noise levels in the building low, even on Friday and Saturday nights. Students who do not wish to live in this type of environment may want to search for alternative housing options.
