Institute Should Recruit Fellows Who Tackle World Issues
While many of the Radcliffe Institute fellows for 2003-2004 are researching intriguing topics, it is disappointing that almost no fellows have been selected who are working on issues many consider of paramount importance to the future of the world. I urge Dean Drew Gilpin Faust to aggressively recruit for 2004-2005 researchers who will work on world population pressures, global environmental problems, such as the alarming loss of biodiversity, and nuclear proliferation.
