Post-conference Interviews: Gender and the Law

The conference “Gender and the Law: Unintended Consequences, Unsettled Questions” was held March 12–13, 2009, at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Judges; legal practitioners; and scholars of law, the humanities, and the social sciences from around the world gathered to explore the ways in which legal regulations and gender influence each other. From varying historical and cultural perspectives, participants addressed legal encounters with gender in the essential spaces of daily life: the body, the home, school, work, the nation, and the world.

Following “Gender and the Law,” Harvard Law School students interviewed several of the conference’s conveners and panelists. The short interview videos below showcase these participants’ reflections on the conference.
