The student will participate in the analysis of data coming from the CoRoT satellite, searching for evidence for transiting planets and analyzing eclipsing binary lightcurve in order to find evidence for circumbinary planets.

The student will use existing programs that were developed in Israel. He or she will also develop his or her own computer codes to improve the analysis and handle new discoveries found in the data.

The student must have good background in computer software and experience in developing codes. He or she does not need a background in astronomy. The needed science can be learned on the fly.
