Information for Workshop Applicants
Three workshop groups of twelve members each will be formed, in which participants will discuss their own work on topics relevant to “Sequels to the 1960s.” Each workshop member will be expected to circulate a piece for group discussion, and to read and evaluate the work of eleven others. These workshops will meet from 4 to 7 p.m., Monday June 23 through Thursday June 26, 2008. Workshop leaders will be Nancy F. Cott, Nancy Hewitt, and Robert Self.
Thirty-six spaces in workshops will be available, and the application procedure will be competitive. Applicants for inclusion in workshops should be willing and ready to pre-circulate, by early June, a piece of writing (such as a chapter, outline, or essay). To apply for inclusion, please use the application form linked below. Please download the form to complete your application and e-mail it back as an attachment along with these required supporting materials:

Accommodations and Meals
Workshop participants opting for accommodations will stay in the Cronkhite Center, a graduate dormitory located at the corner of Brattle and Ash Streets. Cronkhite is across the street from Radcliffe Yard, where the Schlesinger Library is located and where workshop events will be held in the Radcliffe Gymnasium.
Accommodations are simple, dormitory style single rooms. Occupants share bathrooms on their floor. All floors are coed, with separate bathroom facilities for women and men. There is limited elevator access. Cronkhite is not air-conditioned. Rooms have wireless access and basic furnishings, with linens provided.

Participants will be expected to depart on Friday, June 27, 2008, by noon.
