This panel—cosponsored by the Schlesinger Library and the Consulate-General of Japan in Boston—will address the ways in which traditional Japanese cuisine has developed and evolved in the United States and how it has influenced American dining. Experts in the fields of cooking and cuisine will discuss how Japanese techniques and ingredients have spread to other cultures and what makes Japanese food unique.
