I need a research partner to help create and proofread the parts extracted from the scores of the two ensemble pieces. The student will need knowledge of Finale or Sibelius music notation programs (preferably Finale). I also need help building PD or Max/MSP electronic patches. The research partner would be responsible for building simple to moderately complex patches to my specifications for each piece. About half of the time will be used building the programs and the other half will be used to test and improve the patches through experimentation.

The final area of involvement will be in collecting research from the library on the background narrative for this work. This research will only be a small part of the total hours needed from the assistant.

Support from a research partner will streamline all aspects of the project, by strengthening a historical core narrative and tightening the timeline of the work production. An outsider’s eye is essential for proofreading the final stages of a score and its parts.
